It’s been a few days since I’ve updated the blog with new photos. I did a guest post on the Current Projects blog to kick off the new year about the conservation work I did on an automaton bear. You can read it here.
Things are finally finding their places in the workshop. Today I discovered a massive reserve of the now depleted and widely coveted Water of Ayr stones, also known as Tam o Shanter hones.
Wow. I’ve only read about Water of Ayr stones. Yet another amazing find.
They make the most beautiful finish on brass. I will post some pictures.
