Fold Forming and Guilloché Masterclass

Embark on an enriching four-day exploration into the intricacies of fold forming and guilloché techniques in this specialized masterclass tailored for intermediate students. Experience in Beginner’s Engine Turning is recommended.
Students will delve into the intricacies of fold forming, understanding various techniques, and laying the groundwork for pattern placement. Crafting paper and card stock maquettes will be made to explore different design possibilities.
Over four days students will merge the craft of guilloché sheet and fold forming to transition creations from a mostly flat 2-D realm into the dynamic 3-D realm. Students will have the opportunity to work with copper, brass, and silver sheet, allowing them to discover how the metals work differently and which materials work best for different outcomes.
